Pastor Jason Cooksey and family moved to Camp Hill in August 2017 for Jason to become the pastor at Camp Hill Church of God. Pastor Jason has served the Lord in ministry for over 22 years, with over 16 of those as Senior Pastor. He has been happily married to his wife, Christine, for 17 years, and together they have two precious children, Ethan, 15, and Cade, 12. He served as Senior Pastor of Desoto Woods Church in Southaven, Mississippi from 2008- 2014. He then served in the same capacity at New Beginnings Family Center from June 2014 to July 2017. He has earned two Master’s degrees. One is in Education from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, and the other is in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia.
Pastor Jason has a strong passion to build up believers with clear and solid teaching from God’s word. A strong emphasis in discipleship fuels his ministry, and his greatest desire is to see God’s people experience all the freedom and blessings made available to them as is revealed by God’s Word. Pastor Jason teaches God’s Word with clarity, passion, and simplicity so that all of God’s people can understand the Bible’s many great truths and be transformed more fully into the image of Jesus.
Christine Cooksey is the Director of Music here at Camp Hill Church of God. She is over the Traditional and Contemporary aspects of the church’s music, such as the choirs, Praise Team, and media. She has been singing in churches since she was 3 years old, and has been leading worship for over 25 years. She is passionate about leading people into the presence of God, and feels like she is called to raise up the younger generation into their role in music in the church. She graduated in 2005 with an Honors Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Western Ontario. She has served with her husband, Pastor Jason Cooksey, in ministry for over 17 years.
My career has included administrative positions at the Department of Education (8 years), AMP, Inc., (15 years) and I have retired from HACC in the summer of 2016 (18 years). After thoroughly enjoying 3 years of retirement with my husband Ken and our 14 grandchildren, the part-time secretarial position came open and was presented to me as a blessing and rewarding opportunity. I still have a lot to learn in the job, but working with the kindest and nicest people ever makes it so much better!
I consider it an honor and a privilege to work for Pastor Jason Cooksey and the Camp Hill Church of God.
