Pastor Jason Cooksey and family moved to Camp Hill from Decatur, Indiana in August 2017 for Jason to become the pastor at Camp Hill Church of God. Pastor Jason has served the Lord in ministry for over 22 years, with over 16 of those as Senior Pastor. He has been happily married to his wife, Christine, for 16 years, and together they have two precious children, Ethan, 14, and Cade, 12. He served as Senior Pastor of Desoto Woods Church in Southaven, Mississippi from 2008- 2014. He then served in the same capacity at New Beginnings Family Center from June 2014 to July 2017. He has earned two Master’s degrees. One is in Education from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, and the other is in Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia.
Pastor Jason has a strong passion to build up believers with clear and solid teaching from God’s word. A strong emphasis in discipleship fuels his ministry, and his greatest desire is to see God’s people experience all the freedom and blessings made available to them as is revealed by God’s Word. Pastor Jason teaches God’s Word with clarity, passion, and simplicity so that all of God’s people can understand the Bible’s many great truths and be transformed more fully into the image of Jesus.
